Henefer Sage-Grouse Lek

The Henefer Lek is a well-known Greater Sage-Grouse display ground on the Morgan and Summit County line. We will meet at the Walmart 2705 E. Parleys Way to carpool, give directions, and go over rules for observing without disturbing the displaying grouse.
If you attend, please observe the following:
- Arrive around one hour before sunrise
- The Lek straddles the road, so proceed with caution and drive slowly when approaching the lek
- Take the pull-off on the right side of the road
- Turn your car and lights off
- Please remain in your car; your car acts as a blind and you are less likely to disturb the grouse from your car
- If you open your car windows, keep your voices low and movements slow
- Please remain until the grouse disperse, about 1.5 hrs after sunrise
